  7.     The royal mail can be a royal pain. Just ask Princess Anne.
  8. Two weeks ago, an unidentified man handed the Sun, a London
  9. tabloid, four envelopes addressed to the princess and taken from
  10. her briefcase. The letters were written by Timothy Laurence, 34,
  11. an aide to Anne's mother Elizabeth II. "Dashing Queen's equerry
  12. . . . is `besotted' with Princess Anne and believes she loves
  13. him too," the Sun reported, quoting friends of Laurence, who is
  14. seen above in black top hat. The tabloids spun tales of secret
  15. trysts and phone calls between Laurence and Anne, 38, who is
  16. often apart from her husband of 15 years, Mark Phillips. Oddly,
  17. the Sun has turned the letters over to Scotland Yard without
  18. publishing their contents.
